Mom of the Year 2017

Our first ever! Mom of the Year contest. We wanted to do something fun and meaningful, something to give back to our amazing clients & the City of Suwanee…

Starting mid-March we were accepting nominations for the Best Mom! We asked for 3 reasons why, and a photo of mom in the e-mail submissions. It was amazing to read what everybody had to say about their mom & why she is the best. It was difficult to decide the winner that we ended up picking 2 moms! Ana T & Xinia Y!

Here are a few excerpts from submissions….

“She is extremely selfless and hard working…whenever she has any extra money, it has always gone to me and my siblings. In the past, she has worked 3 jobs at once just to provide  Christmas presents to make sure we’ve had a good Christmas.” -Gracie Williams

“I’ve been through a lot this year and my mom has been here for me through everything. She inspires me and gives me the courage to always go after what I want and to never give up. We may not always agree on things, but she has never stopped supporting me or loving me for the person I’ve become. I don’t know where I would be if she hadn’t been here for me.” -Kyla Feltmann

she makes sure we have a healthy dinner each night. The little time she has for herself she dedicates it to my dad or her volunteer work. My dad works at night so she has to do all these things  for us  by herself. To me she’s a hero. I want to be just like her when I grow up.” -Ella Spradlin

“She cooks all most all of our meals.  SHE ALSO HAS A BUSINESS TEACHING MUSIC TO MOMS AND BABIES. I think she deserves a day off. She is one of the prettiest women in the world! She looks so pretty. NOT JUST ON THE OUTSIDE, BUT IN THE INSIDE TOO! That is why I think my mother deserves to be MOTY. SIGNED, NORA.”

“My mother has taken her health into her own hands! At her heaviest, my mother weighed well over 200 pounds. She made the decision one day to love and care for herself, and committed herself to becoming the healthiest version of herself. Not only has she lost a ton of weight, she also inspired me to start my own weight loss journey.” -Zoe Bofill

“she is endlessly giving and does anything for her family. She had allowed me and my sister AND our boyfriends to live with her while we sort out our post college lives. She works 40 hours a week and commutes a total of two hours a day.” -Andrea Young

“FUN! She is fun to be with and always up for adventure (like she says “as long as her knees will hold up.”) For chick-fil-a days, she would dress up like a cow, she would be the first in line for weekend drives up to the mountains when we go antique hunting or spending a weekend in a cabin, wading in creek water, etc. And she loves throwing themed tea-parties, complete with fancy hats, dresses and hors d’oeuvres.” -Mia San Jose-Mison

Our Grand Prize Mom of the Year is Ana Tibor! Ana has been a client of ours for many years and we were so thrilled to read the essays and reasons from her family!

“I am so thankful for the gifts, flowers, and pampering. Cathie Politis Fennell and her Salon Greco team are amazing and I always recommend their services whenever I get the chance. Thank you especially to my hubby, Peter Tibor and my 2 beautiful girls. I will always remember an especially rough night with our oldest daughter as a baby and telling her “I will teach you a lot in the coming years, but I have a feeling that you will teach me a whole lot more!” That’s been true and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world. Happy early Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there, especially my Mami!” -Ana T.
